Classroom K01 worked together to color this poster as they learned about the “Discovery Way: Take care of yourself. Take care of others. Take care of this place.” Great job coloring, K01!
Great minds think alike - especially in classroom 106 when you and your classmate show up twinning!
Every Discovery student took part in making this “quilt,” which is a mashup of the Discovery Way and the art of James Goldcrown.
James Goldcrown is a street artist that paints hearts as a message to spread kindness. His artwork is known for bright, cheerful hearts against a solid background. Goldcrown’s art is some of the most photographed art in the world! People are drawn to it because of the message it sends.
Students made connections between Goldcrown’s message of kindness and our own Discovery Way: taking care of ourselves, taking care of each other, and taking care of this place. Each student created their own mini masterpiece, which included some type of heart or kindness message. When combined together, the quilt was the result.
Beautiful quilt, Discovery!
Yesterday, classroom K04 worked on writing and reviewing their numbers with shaving cream! What a fun way to learn!
After some raindrops this morning, kindergarten students were excited to see the sun and get outside for lunch recess!

Classroom 505 practiced their team building by doing the “Pringles Ring Stem Challenge”. This is an engineering challenge in which students create a ring using only Pringles chips - no tape or glue allowed! The challenge requires a lot of patience as well as careful and precise chip placement. Great job, 505! What a fun project!
